Fire Extinguisher Training for Ablebox

Ablebox requested that we perform on site fire extinguisher training for their staff at each of their three sites in Yeovil, Sherbourne, and Henstridge respectively. 

During our informative sessions, we made sure to equip all attendees with essential practical knowledge on effectively handling and activating fire extinguishers. Our primary focus was to empower them with a deep understanding of the potential fire hazards specific to Ablebox's premises and the corresponding appropriate fire extinguisher for each scenario. To illustrate this, we delved into the likely circumstances that could give rise to fires on Ablebox's property, providing clear guidance on selecting the right fire extinguisher for extinguishing fires promptly and safely. For instance, we emphasised that within the office spaces, water or CO2 canisters were the recommended options, while the factory area called for CO2 canisters tailored to its unique needs.

Throughout the session, we educated attendees on the safest and most effective techniques for using fire extinguishers to combat fires, such as using the SWEEP method, taking into account various real-life scenarios. This involved different methods and approaches required for different fire types. To reinforce their learning, attendees were given hands-on experience using fire extinguishers, putting their knowledge into practice in a controlled environment. Our custom-built fire trailer served as an invaluable tool for this practical training, ensuring that attendees could confidently and safely respond to fire emergencies, ultimately contributing to a safer workplace environment at Ablebox.
